Day 41

There is something fascinating about science. One gets such
wholesale returns of conjecture out of such a trifling
investment of fact.

-- Mark Twain

According to Technorati, there are currently 27.8 million blogs (that they are following), and the number has consistently been doubling every 5.5 months. At this rate, in 3.9 years there will be blog for every person on Earth, in 8.5 years for every grain of sand on all the beaches of the world, and in 83 years for every atom in the universe.

New blogs are created at a current rate of one per second (on average), and there are 50,000 postings to blogs per hour. And yet, according to Gallup, growth of blog readership is flat.
